Minnesota Valley Alfalfa Producers is a Minnesota farmer-owned cooperative founded in 1994. MnVAP was created to process and market alfalfa products and has emerged as a leading processor of high quality alfalfa products.

With the economic and environmental impacts of alfalfa already well documented, MnVAP has embarked upon an aggressive value-added plan for alfalfa processing. This plan utilizes MnVAP's processing expertise to separate alfalfa leaves and stems. The resulting product, alfalfa leaf pellets, provides additional economic benefit to Minnesota farmers and more specifically, to MnVAP shareholders.

Alfalfa Leaf Pellets are currently working their way into the feed ingredient market and have differentiated themselves as a premium alfalfa product with nutritional and feed enhancing characteristics unique from other alfalfa products.

Alfalfa has long been a staple of the animal diet. We look forward to the future with an optimism that comes from the knowledge that this product represents a viable alternative to both ordinary alfalfa hay and alternative fiber and protein ingredient sources. As both a cost effective feed ingredient and hay replacer, MnVAP believes that the potential utilizations of Alfalfa Leaf Pellets in the animal diet are limitless.
